Working Together

Videos are necessarily a collaborative oppress. I work with clients and focus on communication throughout the process. On a typical project, you provide any needed assets, like recorded videos, still images, logos, etc., exchanged via a shared drive (Google or other).

I will provide drafts, examples, info as needed at regular steps along the way. Email and phone conversations at each step to be sure all parties are on the same page.

There is no charge for initial consultation and scoping of project.

Draft videos have a small watermark which is removed after finalized project and payment.

Client owns the final output (MP4 file). We will maintain the video and all assets for period of one year after final approval. This makes updates or refreshes easier and faster.

Our philosophy

My philosophy is that a conversation is the start of any project. I don’t charge for an initial consultation.

Also, you may ask or need something we don’t know about - or need to get additional software tools to accomplish. I don’t charge for that added learning time, and don’t pass along any additional costs - that’s on me.

RATES & services

VIDEO / AUDIO EDITING : $75/hr

Video Editing includes the editing, constructing Intro/Outro, adding animations, zooms, text or highlights on screen, privacy blurs, etc.

This is where the client provides the bulk of the video content - I’m not doing the creating. Audio creation, processing and cleanup is at this same rate.

CONTENT CREATION : $150/hr

Content Creation is where I am doing the actual recording of a scripted video.

Billing occurs at the end of each month

Typical Work Flow

After the initial meeting, I will communicate via email or phone and set up an exchange drive. Typically, we would set up folders for Assets, WIP (Work in Progress), and Final (for approved videos);

The Assets folder would include video clips, images, logo files, etc. along with any Intro or Outro Videos (I will add them there if I create them for you - once approved).

The WIP folder contains draft videos for your approval or input of any changes. I will continue to collaborate until you are happy with the result.

The Final folder is where approved videos are stored.

As work progresses, collaboration continues as needed. You need to be happy with the output, so I always ask that you let me know right away if you aren’t.

I will maintain any final project for a period of one year once completed and payment is made.
